One Democrat, One Republican: Lillie Brothers Talk Politics, Family With 'Almanac'

State Rep. Leon Lillie and his brother Ted Lillie, the new president of the Taxpayers League of Minnesota, recently talked to "Almanac."

State Rep. Leon Lillie, who represents parts of Oakdale, is a Democrat.

His brother Ted Lillie, of Woodbury, is a former Republican senator who is now the president of the Taxpayers League of Minnesota.

The two, along with their father, recently talked to Almanac about politics, serving in the Minnesota Legislature together, and federal and family matters.

They also have two sisters who are active in politics, Ted told Twin Cities Public Television. They lean more toward the DFL side, he said.
